Rayce Lamb, Founder of Faithonomics
The Wild Imagination Fund seeks to empower Winston-Salem based nonprofits in their work to eradicate poverty from the Winston-Salem landscape.
Rev. Rayce J. Lamb, the Founder of Faithonomics, created the fund in 2023 to serve as a philanthropic response to issues of economic injustice in Winston-Salem.
We practice trust-based philanthropy, which shifts the power dynamics of traditional philanthropy by centering equity and accountability.
The Wild Imagination Fund is a donor-advised fund held by The Winston-Salem Foundation. This fund structure allows for proper legal oversight and transparency around fund management, while providing an avenue for philanthropic giving by individuals and organizations who want to fund anti-poverty work in Winston-Salem.
While we understand the importance of funding a broad coalition of organizations in the fight against poverty, we also understand the impact unrestricted funding can have on a nonprofit's ability to innovate and flourish. Therefore, the fund is committed to granting at least 51% of the fund's annual output to The Shalom Project of Winston-Salem.
The initial funding for The Wild Imagination Fund came from Faithonomics - a social venture by Rayce Lamb dedicated to helping faith-inspired leaders bring their bold ideas to life. Through Faithonomics' tithing pledge, the company commits to donating at least 10% of its profits to challenging poverty in the city of Winston-Salem.

Rev. Rayce J. Lamb, the creator of The Wild Imagination Fund, interned with The Shalom Project while a student at Wake Forest University School of Divinity. That experience helped him understand the complexities of poverty as well as the role neighbors play in the cultivation of economic belonging. Since that experience, Rayce has been a strong supporter of The Shalom Project's work as they implement programs designed to break the cycle of poverty.
At this time, The Wild Imagination Fund is not accepting proposals for funding.
